Do you struggle with cuticles that never look completely clean, even after spending a lot of time on them? Do you sometimes feel unsure which bit to use, how much to remove, or how to work safely around different types of cuticles?

Maybe your rubber base looks too thick, the apex is not balanced, or the surface has bumps and uneven light reflection. And even when the manicure looks good, getting the colour close to the cuticle without touching the skin can still be a challenge.

In this one-day course, we will work on these exact problems.

You will learn how to understand different nails and cuticles, choose the right tools and technique, work safely with the e-file and scissors, and create a clean manicure with a thin and balanced rubber base, correct apex and smooth light reflection.

All course material and teaching is delivered in English.

What you'll learn

Natural Nail Anatomy
Understanding the natural nail before you start working. We will look at nail anatomy, different nail plate and nail bed types, nail shapes and different cuticle types — and how each one can affect your technique.

Products & Tools
The essential products and tools for Russian Manicure, including e-file bits, bit shapes and abrasiveness, scissors and the products needed for proper preparation.

Russian & Combined Manicure
How to perform a correct combined manicure using the e-file. Learn how to work with different cuticle types, choose the right approach and achieve a clean result without unnecessary irritation.

Preparation & Adhesion
The correct preparation process for a clean application and good retention. We will look at the products used during preparation, how to prepare the nail plate correctly and the mistakes that can lead to lifting.

Rubber Base & Apex
How to apply rubber base correctly on the natural nail and create a balanced apex. Learn how to control the thickness, placement and structure instead of ending up with a flat or bulky nail.

Light Reflection
How to create a smooth surface with an even light reflection. We will look at what causes bumps, shadows and uneven surfaces and how to correct them.

Color Application
How to apply colour close to the cuticle without touching the skin, while keeping the application thin, even and clean for that precise Russian Manicure finish.

Common Mistakes & Corrections
The most common mistakes in Russian Manicure, why they happen and how to correct them. Learn how to recognise problems in your technique instead of repeating them on your next client.

All necessary equipment and materials are provided at the Academy throughout the course.

Certification

You will receive a Certificate of Completion from Roxana Scutariu Academy attesting to your succesful completion of the course.

  • Materials: Digital materials with all the information will be sent via email.
  • Models: We provide models depending on availability, but we cannot guarantee their presence every day. We will search together for models, and students are welcome to help as well. One model per two students.
  • Hours: 9:00–18:00+, depending on your individual speed.
